چکیده

In this paper, a data envelopment analysis (DEA) model with weight constraints is proposed to evaluate the work safety supervision in 18 districts. Conventional evaluation approaches of the work safety supervision only consider the simple data such as the number of accidents and the number of death in the accidents. There are two major shortcomings: the weights of criteria are difficult to determined, and the different inherent risky levels of districts are not considered. Therefore we introduced the DEA method to address these issues. The results show that the evaluation by using DEA model is more objective and reasonable than the conventional approaches.

In accordance with the CSA rescheduling provisions, after gathering the necessary data, DEA requested a scientific and medical evaluation and scheduling recommendation from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). DHHS concluded that marijuana has a high potential for abuse, has no accepted medical use in the United States, and lacks an acceptable level of safety for use even under m...

Considering undesirable variables in PCA-DEA method: a case of road safety evaluation in Iran

This paper presents a deterministic approach for performance assessment of different province’s road safety level at Iran. A data envelopment analysis (DEA) model considering undesirable input and output indices and a multivariate statistical method, principle component analysis (PCA) are used in this paper, while previous studies do not use composite PCA-DEA method and undesirable input and ou...

Presenting a New Model for Bank’s Supply Chain Performance Evaluating with DEA Solution Approach

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a method for measuring the efficiency of peer decision making units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and outputs. The traditional DEA treats decision making units under evaluation as black boxes and calculates their efficiencies with first inputs and last outputs. This carries the notion of missing some intermediate measures in the process of changing the inputs to...

A generalized multiple layer data envelopment analysis model for hierarchical structure assessment: A case study in road safety performance evaluation

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is recognized as a powerful analytical research tool for performance evaluations by obtaining empirical estimates of relations between multiple inputs and multiple outputs. In order to further embody the hierarchical structures of numerous performance evaluation problems in the DEA framework, a generalized multiple layer DEA (MLDEA) model is proposed, and its lin...

Identification and Evaluation of Human Errors Using Human Factor Analysis and Classification System based on Fuzzy Hierarchy Theory: A Case Study in the Cement Industry

Introduction: Human factors studies have shown that about 80% of the root causes of major accidents affecting safety, the environment or ergonomics are related to human error. The purpose of this study was to identify human errors using the HFACS method and the FAHP theory in cement industry. Methods: The present study was a retrospective study carried out in the cement industry. At first, R...
